Our boarding program offers a unique blend of independence and community, designed to nurture both academic and personal growth. Students are immersed in a vibrant residential life that balances structure with freedom, allowing them to develop important life skills while building lifelong friendships.

  • Lessons learned at CTA have been invaluable in navigating life’s challenges

I graduated from CTA in 1992 and later returned to serve as a dorm mom and teach Psychology. My time at CTA was transformative, helping me to embrace life again and focus on healing from a traumatic event.  Post-graduation, I have worked in rehabilitation and behavior intervention therapy with various groups, including children on the autistic spectrum, at-risk youth, and people with disabilities. The lessons learned at CTA have been invaluable in navigating life’s challenges. Now, as a member of the Board of Trustees, I am dedicated to supporting CTA’s continued success.

Key aspects of my CTA experience include:

    • Benefiting from small classes and accessible teachers

    • Using nature as a healing tool

    • Engaging in creative activities

    • Learning conflict resolution

    • Participating in school-wide problem-solving

    • Overcoming physical and mental challenges through back-packing trips and outdoor pursuits

    • Enjoying structured after-school activities
