Preslie Thompson was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She is an award winning artist and graduated from Scottsdale Community College with her Associates in Fine Arts degree. Preslie worked as an artisan for a foundry where she was a part of a team of artists who created sculpture installations across the U.S, Europe and Japan. From there, she got into woodworking for a fabrication business where they created artwork and toys for libraries in the kid’s section. During this time, she volunteered as a mentor for children in the foster care system, domestic violence shelters and crisis centers through Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona. She’s currently attending Fort Lewis College to obtain her bachelor’s in psychology to pursue a career working with children as an Art Therapist. Preslie believes that art has the ability to heal and bring people together.
