Stephanie Paine
Stephanie grew up in Colorado and moved to Durango in 2006 to attend Fort Lewis College, graduating in 2011 with a B.A. in Sociology-Criminology. During her time at school, she completed an internship with Durango Nature Studies, which deepened her love for the outdoors and environmental education. Before working at CTA, she worked at Purgatory Resort in the Human Resources Dept., and before that she worked at a local Animal Clinic as a CPR/Vet Assistant.
Stephanie is an avid outdoor enthusiast, she spends her winters carving fresh groomers and weaving through the trees on her snowboard. During the summers she is paddling rivers on her Phatcat and Inflatable Kayak or hiking to the top of mountain peaks. In Oct. 2022, she embarked on a private rafting trip through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River – 25 days and a total of 280+ river miles later created a lifelong memory that she will never forget. She’s also a plant enthusiast, enjoys knitting, and reading during the quieter moments. Stephanie shares her adventures with her partner and beloved dog, Pepper Pickle.
